Job: Housekeeping – Weekend

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our weekend housekeeping team on a part-time permanent basis.  The position is to provide part-time housekeeping for our luxury self-catering properties. The role is to work weekends, either one or two shifts – Must be flexible.  Working hours will be no earlier than 10.30am and no later than 4pm and shifts will take between 3 hours and 5 1/2 hours within this time, but perhaps longer, depending on the needs of the business.  Rate of pay £13 per hour.

This Housekeeping position would suit an enthusiastic individual that enjoys working on their own but equally within a small team. The successful candidate will be required to work on their own initiative so must be highly motivated, a self-starter and have high levels of attention to detail. The Housekeeper will enjoy cleaning to a very high standard as this makes up a large part of the job. An ability to work within specific time scales to ensure properties are ready in time for guest arrivals is essential. The successful candidate should be flexible in the availability to meet the needs of the business and will have a friendly and helpful disposition and relish the chance to work in an active job role. Full training will be provided across all aspects of the role – experience is desired but not necessary.

A full clean driving licence and own vehicle is essential as we are not near public transport.

The Part-Time Housekeeper would be expected to carry out the following tasks and have responsibility for the following areas of the operations as follows. Full training will be given in all areas.

  • Housekeeping after guests leave the Property(s) and being able to clean to an extremely high five-star standard with first class attention to detail.
  • Setting up welcome items for guests arriving and ensuring finishing touches are all in place.
  • Self-checking of the property(s) to ensure high levels of cleanliness and presentation for guest arrival are maintained.
  • Checking facilities are in full working order (i.e., TV, lights etc)
  • Monitoring the inventory and ensuring all items inside the properties and cleaning equipment are present and in full working order.
  • Reporting any property maintenance issues direct to management.
  • Bagging up laundry.
  • Deep cleaning property’s when instructed.
